If you want to use your Jeep with the doors off and you have the RSE Steps, this lets you activate and stow the steps without your doors on. The doors are used to trigger the action of the steps. When you remove your doors, the steps have no way of knowing you opened up your door. This kit you install a switch under the driver's and passenger's seat in a factory hole. You simply reach down and activate the switch to drop the step. Push the switch again to park the steps in the up position.

Easy install it is of great benefits when we moving the doors when working on the vehicle to keep the steps from deploying

Ordered kit and it cam with momentary switches instead of 2 position. Nortridge reached out to RSE and within 2 days I had a new kit on my doorstep. RSE said they had received 20 of the wrong switches and apologized for the inconvenience.

I debated on buying these because of the price. Pulled the trigger. They aren't bad to install. The nuts on the seat rails are kind of a pain and removing the trim kinda sucks. Once you do one side it's a breeze and they work excellent. Installed the buttons on the brackets they supplied. I used a little shrink tube on the wires to make them look a little more stock. I guess they are worth the money!

I ordered two of these kits because I have the four door wrangler. Ended up having to send one back because you only need the buttons in the front. They work great and love having the steps manually retractable when the doors are off.
