The RockHard gas tank skid does what it's supposed to. I've used it for about 2 years. Played on the rock countless times, and while it is scratched up, it hasn't bent any. Yes the JK comes with a stock gas tank skid, but do you really want to have to take it off and flatten it out everytime it gets damaged. This installs easily over the top of the stock skid.
