The all-new PATAGONIA M/T-02 has been developed around years of feedback from real-world enthusiasts and professional rock crawling competitions and garners much of the original M/T design yet integrates all-new internal tire technologies with finite adjustments. The M/T-02 now combines cross-directional sipping to improve tread block strength and resilience with a more stable footprint while reducing the risk of chunking. Redeveloped from the inside out, the much-improved mud terrain integrates Milestar’s MILETECH 3-Ply sidewall with added rigidity for maximum sidewall durability, yet still pliable and flexible for an aired-down bite and rock-crawling grip. A newly formulated silica-enriched tread compound that includes cut and chip resistance, allows for longer tread life without sacrificing off-road traction.
The M/T-02 continues a tradition of high-value, off-road enthusiast tires that perform as promised.

bought 5 tires and Hutchinson wheels. 3 out of 5 mounted and balanced with ease and low weight(3.5 oz or under). Next one over 10oz weight,broke down tire and wheel assembly,spun tire 180 degrees,reassembled. Now at 3.75 oz,acceptable. 5th tire was so far out it would'nt read. Tried the 180 trick,got 11.25 oz,N/G, broke down again,rotate 1/4 turn,got 5.25oz. After 2 days I gave up and put the heavy spot tire on spare rack. Should have known better than buy a Vietnamese tire. They work well otherwise.
Had a issue with 1 PG M/T-02 Milestar and Northridge replaced the tire, great customer service!
I've had a few of sets of the previous gen Pats (MT-01?) and I can confidently say that the MT-02 is MUCH better at everyday driving, especially in the wet/snow. It's not even close in terms of street traction. The older models would spin on wet roads during acceleration and these do not. Easily worth the slight price increase over the older model. It's an important benefit to me because I live in the Pacific Northwest. Off-road, they are as good or better than the old Pats. I have the same confidence in the MT-02 as I did in the old model. I haven't had a chance to use them in dry, dusty conditions yet so I can only speak to their performance in wet, muddy conditions.
