They say these are good for at least 3 cover openings. I've never had to take my diff cover off in over 3 years, but I'm happy no drips or oil weeping anyplace. If I do need to do a trail repair, I'll be happy it's as easy as off and then back on.

Be aware of your bolt sequence and torque settings. No sealant required! Start at lowest torque. Re-check a few weeks later. If you see seepage increase torque 5 # all around. Again, in the proper sequence! Also, one of the plugs drain/fill had to be snugged down once, and another plug twice. No leaks now. All good now on first install. Dry as a bone! Check back in 50,000 miles!

this is a must have item. pays for itself in convenience then1st time you change the fluid. been using the same one for 3 years and i change the fluid 2x per year.

This was so much easier than using the sealer in a tube. No guess work, no need to worry about an even seal. The gears and lockers are expensive and important parts. Happy to know mine are well sealed and protected.
