I think this is one of the first mods you should get because from the factory your JL or JT has no way of locking the hood down. That means anyone can walk up to your Jeep and open the hood with ease. The BOLT hood lock gives me major peace of mind knowing my engine bay is safe and sound. As a bonus this helped big time with hood flutter on windy highways! Get yourself one these!!

I watched a review on this item and thought is was a simply and effective way to lock my Jeep hood. Install was super simple and the fact that it keys to your OEM key is a added bonus.

After looking at and comparing the options between latch locks, pneumatic hood locks and they key hood locks, the Bolt was the best option. I like the fact that it uses your standard car key to code the lock and no need for another key to get lost. The coding process was super simple just have to make sure the key stays inserted the entire time. It has been mounted for a few months and has been working perfect, I will note I used 1/4" bolts with locking nuts to mount this instead of the rivets so the instillation was pretty easy.

Works with OEM Jeep key, very simple install with the guidance of Northridge 4x4 install video. Looks good, with the added layer of safety to better secure the hood and keep people out. I highly recommend this product and had it installed for about 6 months now with zero problems.
