Poison Spyder Brawler Rockers Aluminum
JK 4dr
Features & Product Details
Poison Spyder Brawler Rockers in aluminum are identical to Poison Spyder HD steel rockers, except they are constructed from 3/16" aluminum plate. Aluminum Brawler Rockers have a different look than steel rockers and are a great entry level rocker, but won't provide as much protection as steel, but for most off roaders, aluminum plate provides plenty of protection. However if you run extreme off road runs, then run steel to protect from the larger rocks of more rugged trails.
Poison Spyder Aluminum Brawler Rockers are constructed as a two piece rocker armor configured in the mini-boat side style. Each component of the rockers is constructed using CNC-laser cut fabrication and are formed using precision braking on 3/16" aluminum plate. The lower section of your jeep's exterior sheet metal is fitted with the upper section of the rocker. The two are married in a perfect union, with the rocker hugging the jeep's curves, providing protection from flying debris. The rocker's lower section is fabricated to incorporate the jeep's rub rail or step that extends about 3/4" from the jeep's body, allowing the rub rail to be used as a step.
Underneath, the aluminum angles down, flowing inward, forming a high clearance boat, while inside solid internal gussets fortify the rocker, adding strength and durability. The boat side section has oval lightening holes that run the length of the boat side section, providing an attractive appearance while at the same time giving access for easy cleaning of mud and debris, giving the jeep the Poison Spyder look.
The Brawler Rocker ends are capped with the same heavy duty aluminum plate material and are composed of angled facets allowing tire clearance of up to 40 inches, completing the look giving cohesion to the Spyder front and rear Crusher Flares.
The upper piece attaches to the body tubing using stainless steel flat-head screw caps with stainless steel nut-certs. The lower piece attaches using clip nuts and stainless steel flat-head screw caps with nut-certs to the upper piece. The look is unified by a countersunk fastener holes, so the entire surface is flat. The lower piece then fastens underneath to the jeep's body mounts for added stability.
This installation method allow the Brawler Rocker to be attached over several different planes, giving the rocker a triangulated strength throughout the entire rocker. These body attachment points safeguard the rockers, incorporating them securely to the strongest component of the jeep. Additionally, this configuration also allows the Brawler Rocker to hug the jeep closely, which allows it to move upward if a body lift is installed.
These Brawler Rockers are shipped unfinished, allowing them to be powder coated or painted as desired.
Note: Previously installed Poison Spyder body armor, the screws and nuts can be re-used, saving a significant amount of time and effort during installation, however, the body armor must be removed.
