It's not fully evident in reading the marketing material or studying the manual, but you really need at least 2" of lift to use these. The reason being that they are fairly long. Now you could raise them above the frame when welding in the tubes by cutting the frame more, but then you need to strengthen the frame more than simply welding in the tube. With a 1" lift spring (as measured versus factory ride height) you only get about 1.5" of uptravel before you begin hitting the bump stop. The bump stop itself doesn't start providing significant resistance until about 3/8" in. This means that driving down a normal road you will not hit the bumpstops at all, but let's say you are in potholes, driving across minicurbs, etc you will be in the bumpstops. And you can both feel and hear them make contact with the axle. 2" lift is OK with them. 1" is pushing it. 0" is not enough. They work great. You can still easily fully flex the bump stop out with no ill will and so far the rebound is light enough not to add any rocking motion. If you like to get tires of the ground, these are the bumpstops for you. Only reasonable competition to these are the ones in blue and these are still better.
