Motobilt Aluminum Tailgate Cover / Armor

The Motobilt 6061-T6 Aluminum tail gate armor for the Jeep YJ not only looks great but protects your Jeeps tailgate. The Aluminum Motobilt Jeep YJ tail gate armor will completely cover your Jeep YJ’s tailgate and also give it a clean look. The tail gate armor is made from 3/16” thick 6061-T6 Aluminum that is laser cut in house at Motobilt.

While we do offer this tail gate armor in 3/16” steel, the 6061-T6 Aluminum provides protection while also being light weight. The 3/16” thickness is consistent with Motobilt body armor, so the aluminum tail gate armor will match up, creating a smooth, even look. The Motobilt tailgate armor is shipped bare raw aluminum and may require some finishing work before being painted or powder coated.
