3 Bolts Off, 3 Bolts On. Took no time at all. This thing is beefy too, the factory 'skid' plate was nothing more than a glorified cover, this is a skid plate that will take a hit and not leave you stranded.

Just like the like the video says, 5 min install. Only tool you need is a 10mm wrench. Very straightforward and easy install. So much beefier and thorough protection than the oem part.

This skid plate is MUCH thicker and stronger than the flimsy stock plate. It fits perfectly, too. It took maybe 5 minutes to install and shores up what I think is an achelles heel of the JL's front axle.

If you think the factory plate is wimpy, this will solve your problem 4 years ago

HOLY CARP, BATMAN! The dumb low mounting point of the factory steering stabilizer is the only thing between your CAD and destruction by a mean rock. If you fix the stabilizer location, you're screwed for protection - the factory skidplate isn't. It's a thin envelope of sheetmetal over your freaking front axle's nards! One kick and the whole thing is toast! Super easy 10 minute install, uses the factory fasteners and fits up well enough to do it blindfolded. For fixing a potential walk home from here problem, it's a bargain. No instructions, but really, are they needed? This corrects a problem that FCA chose to half-ass a solution for. What did they get, .06 MPG improvement from the EPA? Picture: Look how thin and wimpy the factory skidplate is!
