I have two of these now and the first version from several years ago was a little noisy but the current version they have made much better. Real latch and tension bumpers on the inside that stops the rattles. I love this thing out camping but I'm a photographer too and it doubles as a work surface when I'm on location

Build quality is good. Installs quickly in ving, nothing a small piece of foam between the table and the back wouldn't fix. Very nice table for the money.

Very well constructed. Easy to install. Only four holes to mount the table. Highly recommended.

I attached my tailgate table to my Wilco hitchgate accessory plate. Hit a couple troubleshooting issues with getting the accessory plate flush on the Wilco so it could support the table but ironed them out. I also stained and lacquered the cutting board to withstand the elements

Installation was easy. Product is sturdy and designed well. The slide out could be smoother.

Doing it over I might have opted to spend a bit more. It’s well built, looks nice and functions well no rattles or anything. However, the install was a bit of a pain (2020 JL) and the cutting board is laminated wood, that has chipped away at the edge after minimal bumps and bruises. I don’t regret owning it, and I’m not going to look to replace it, but I’m not sure I would buy it again.

Good, but needs a note added! 4 years ago

The front runner is of a good quality and sturdy. The only two problems are. If you have a jeep with the full molded carpet with the in floor subwoofer. This will not fit, unless you cut the last 2in or so of carpet out. (Its is a fiber like plastic) The other is, the jeep as extremely thin sheet metal. I mean thin!! (Just push on the hood to see) You really need a good low angle drill bit tip to mitigate sheet metal climb and tearing. You really need to have an idea what is behind your drill hole locations. Two brackets fall right near where you will have to put the nutserts. They have a slope to them, if you miss and catch the egde of the think metal bracket. Your drill bit will follow the path of least resistance, and walk your hole into the thin sheet metal. (Oh its heavy, it will take two peopler to install. One to hold and one to mark)

Wish I had paid closer attention to reviews before buying this for my 2011 JKU rubicon. I wish I also had just spent the extra money on the $300 aluminum one that doesn’t require drilling. It is really heavy. It comes with exactly 4 Jack nuts so if you goof one like I did you’ll need to message the company for a replacement and wait until it arrives. If anyone else sells them I couldn’t find them. And I goofed it because you have to drill holes in your tailgate, BIG holes, and the spots you drill have structural members behind them so the drill walks all over tears the metal and makes a mess. Following that you need to install the Jack nuts into the holes- not the easiest device to use to begin with- that aren’t perfect because of the drilling, and they may not go in straight first try. Except there isn’t an undo feature on these things- one time use. It was a PITA. You’ll want a friend to help install too because it’s super heavy. Lastly I have a side mounted factory subwoofer (alpine) and it DOES fit with that. However like others have mentioned it does NOT fit over the molded floor panel that accesses the tools underneath. If I had read this I would NOT have bought this, but I was too far gone at this point. So I trimmed the bump off the panel, then notched the trunk mat (mine came with this) so it could slide aft an inch and cover the hole. The table fits over the mat barely, and hides the horrendous hole I cut in the panel. Lastly I have a slipstream trunk enclosure and the table does fit with that as well. Once past all this it’s a nice looking table, and it does the job well. At least that part is great! Overall I would buy a different table that doesn’t require drilling if I were you.

Doesn't fit JK without modification 4 years ago

If you try mounting it low, it will hit the molded trunk floor cover. If you try to mount it high, the cutting board will hit the extended part of the tailgate and not fully slide open. I mounted mine as low as I could without hitting the trunk cover, and then shaved off part of the cutting board so it wouldn't hit the tailgate.

Does not fit JK with side mounted Sub Woofer 4 years ago

They must have had a problem with the 10th Anniversary Edition, and assumed it was limited to that. This tailgate will not fit any Jeep with the Alpine audio upgrade (All Saharas, and Sports/Rubicons with the side mounted subwoofer 2011-2014). The pivot on the tailgate also damages the wood board if not inserted completely. Its also excessively heavy for a tailgate table which reduces the amount of other gear you can hang off your tailgate.
