Clayton's goal with this gas tank skid plate was to create the strongest, smoothest replacement system which locks together with our transfer case and engine skid plate. They are all designed to work with either our long arm system or our HD cross member.

If you are using our gas tank skid plate as an OEM replacement and do not need the full skid plates, add this bracket. The bracket allows you to connect this gas tank skid plate to your stock cross member.

If you are installing in conjunction with our long arm system, some cutting of the skid plate is required for fitment including needing to remove one mount.

Notes:

Design is to be used in conjunction with our main transfer case skid plate and either HD or 3-piece long arm cross member.
Please note this item(s) ships bare metal out of a box! Cosmetic damage e.g. surface rust or scratches may result during shipping and items would not be considered damaged, or eligible for a return/replacement or compensation. Cosmetic damage will not affect the performance of the actual product.

Q: Direct replacement for gas tank. B.D.4 years ago
Can this gas tank skid be used to replace my stock gas tank skid without the use of other Clayton Skids? Description says it’s designed to be used with other Clayton skids. I just want to replace my beat up stock skid with a stronger skid.
