The Patent Pending GCP-1 is the only sub roof concealed locking storage system for the Jeep JKU Hard Top. Made in the USA, constructed of aluminum with steel hinges and lock/latch plates. Dual locking, easy opening, quick access and relatively simple installation. The GCP-1 fits all JKU's (4 door only) with a hardtop. With an internal dimension of 15" X 45.5" X 5" the GCP-1 can be used for MULTIPLE applications; Firearms, recovery gear, first aid, camera equipment fishing, hunting and on; the use is up to you. The GCP-1 can be removed in under two minutes for soft top installation.
*note: the GCP-1 is not compatible with the AEV roof rack: all others, go for it!

What is the interior lined with? How thick is the lining? Is it foam w/w/out Velcro fasteners? I’ve seen two different interior depths listed: is it 4” or 5”, please? WD website says 4”. How protected is it from being removed from the JK when it’s locked? It looks like to mounting bolts are accessible with the back window/tailgate open..? How about the roll bar hinges? Its a lot of money for an aluminum lock box; just want to make sure it’s secure enough! Thanks!

A: The interior isn't lined. They offer a Velcro insert piece separately. The interior depth is 5". The mounting bolts aren't all that accessible with the tailgate/window open if the box is closed. You need to open it to get to them.
