Rugged Ridge Spartan Nerf Steps
JT
Features & Product Details
Let’s face it...running boards might be alright for Grandpa’s classic truck or maybe an occasional parade float. But if you need a little help climbing into your Gladiator JT, go with a side step that is actually designed to enhance your truck’s stance. Rugged Ridge Spartan Nerf Bars feature a 3-inch OD primary tube that mount in a higher position than conventional tube steps for a cleaner look, while patented drop-down hoops at each door lend a firm step to help ease entry & exit. Constructed from tough .084 wall steel tubing and finished with a durable 3-stage textured powder coat, Spartan Nerf Bars are designed with the strength and enduring good looks that your Jeep JT demands. Includes all necessary installation hardware and installation instructions.

REVIEWS & CUSTOMER MEDIA
These nerf bars look very good on my gladiator and seem to be well built. At first I was concerned as there is only three mount points instead of the four on the oem rock bars. I also was not sure which end should go towards the front of the truck. After measuring, I found there was only one way they would fit. The end that goes towards the front is the end where there are two mount points 26 inches apart. After figuring this out, the installation was straight forward. You will want to leave the bolts connecting the bars to the mounts loose until the end of installation. I found the best way to install them is to connectcthe front mount to the body first with the single bolt, then the backend bracket followed by the middle. Leave these bolts loose. Then attache each mount to the body followed by tightening the single bolt to the body. Finally, tighten the bars to the mounts. This is actually the most cumbersome point as the top bolt needs to be tightened with an open ended wrench as the is not room for anything else. I really like the bars, but do have some concerns on their longevity as the ends are both open. While this will allow airflow that should allow the insides to stay dry, I am concerned they will collect sand and mud inside. I will monitor and insure that stay clean if this does happen
