This Poison Spyder Hood Louver keeps your engine cool by permitting airflow to pass through the engine compartment. High temperatures that can cause overheating and increased engine coolant temperatures can be caused by many variables including the headers, driving at slow speeds, flex fans and the tiny spaces of the engine compartment.
This kit allows hot and cool air to flow free through the engine compartment. The hot air can escape while simultaneously drawing in cooler air through the vehicle's radiator. The performance results of installation of this hood louver are the cooling of the hot air under-the-hood and the engine coolant.
Poison Spyder Hood Louvers are manufactured using quality construction and thick gauge aluminum sheets. During the manufacturing stages, they are CNC laser-cut and precision die-stamped. By using sheets of aluminum, the hood louver becomes both resistant to corrosion and conveniently lightweight. The aluminum is durable and thick enough to add strength to the Jeep's famously thin sheet-metal hood eliminating the ""hood wobble"" that occurs at faster speeds. This hood louver kit contains all you need to do-it-yourself.
This quick and easy to install Poison Spyder Hood Louvers requires drilling and cutting into the hood. The kit includes detailed instructions for cutting the airflow holes, stainless steel fasteners as well as a full-sized template. It's an easy one-piece design that's specifically crafted for each model of Jeep.

A must have not only does it make the vehicle look like it’s in the attack mode ,it actually works !! I could tell as soon as I started driving it !The engine is breathing better it just felt healthy! Lots of compliments and if I did it myself… The good part about it is I explained I did do it myself and how easy it was....A MUST GET
I had never purchased a Poison Spyder product before this, it was fantastic. Great directions looks awesome and its Functional.
This is a great product to have especially if you live in a hot climate like Arizona. You can see the heat mirage above the hood when you come to a stop. First you place a template down on the hood and use a center punch to mark the dots. Then use a 1in hole saw (not included). Once all the holes are made you trace them all together and make the final cuts. Pretty straight forward but just be careful to not cut through the hood bracing.
Great functionality and price! It keeps the engine temp down a little and is Fairly easy to install.
