Features & Product Details
The Evo Manufacturing Rock Star Skids were designed to protect your lower control arms while increasing the ground clearance of your rear suspension mounting points by 1.5 inches. Your lower control arm ground clearance will also be increased by 1.5 inches. This will allow for maximum shock travel under articulation.
Other features include:
• CNC Laser Cut 3/16 steel plate
• Power coated black textured finish
• Boxed skid on the bottom
Please note that professional installation is required when using this product. It is recommended that you run your suspension before and after installation and check for potential interference issues. This kit does require some cutting and grinding, and may require shorter rear swaybar end links and coil spring retainers.

Great purchase, brought my shocks up higher and protect them at the same time.
I picked these up because I got tired of dragging my shock mounts on rocks. The hardest part was the cutting but it was not that hard. Definitely recommend!
Installed on my Rubi. No big issues. Lots of cutting and grinding. Make sure you really grind down smooth the left over metal from the factory mounts or the rock stars won’t seat correctly and the holes won’t line up. My only gripe is the shock mount. The way that it angles it causes my Fox shocks to get pinched on the inside part of the mount, so I had to grind off a bit and then put a small spacer in so the shock centers correctly. I was running the MetalCloak high shock mount kit and it positioned the shocks perfectly, but without a skid on their kit my shocks got beat up, so I switched. Overall, happy with the rock stars.
Good bit of cutting/grinding. If you have TF Monster arms, it's a challenge to get the bolts in on the rear facing side. TF rised TB bracket also requires some finesse to work properly. I ended up cutting the tab that attaches to the CA bolt off and welding it in several places.
These are great. They give you about an inch and a half clearance at your rear shock mount. They are beefy. You can't go wrong with these skids.

I fun the Fox 2.0 4-6" lift shocks with my RockKrawler 4.5" X-Factor lift kit on my 2007 JKU. When installing these will the shocks I have work in the rear or would you recommend swapping to the Fox 2.0 1.5-3.5" lift shocks for the rear only?

A: Yes, I would go to the 1.5-3.5 shocks for the rear, when you install these.
