Dana 60 Axle
Features & Product Details
The Dana 60 Ultimate front axle 5.38 is a vehicle accessory that uses electric differential locking to provide enhanced power for propulsion. The locking of the Jeeps's differential to the use of the 5.38 gear ratio is effective in that it gives the vehicle a constant and stable power output setting which not only provides improved strength for the vehicle but also effective control of the automobile for the driver.
Dana 60 Ultimate front axle features
The Dana 60 Ultimate front axle 5.38 comes equipped with steel axle shafts which are instrumental when it comes to travels and expeditions in the Off Road pathways. It can withstand and provide power for the rocky and mud patches to ensure the strength of the vehicle is kept constant. The U-joints that come with the Dana 60 Ultimate front axle 5.38 are structured to provide optimal operational capacity for lifted cars that have been customized with larger Northridge tires and wheels and increased ground clearance.

I upgraded to this axle from my JK Rubicon 44 and love it! It is massive! Bolted right in with no issues. I have put around 20,000 miles on it since I put it in and wheeled all over from Moab to Johnson Valley to the Dusy Ershim. The axle has held up great. I upgraded the hub locks to the Yukon's after smashing the Warm hub lock on the Sledge Hammer trail and that has been a good upgrade. I run Toyo 40/13.5/17 tires and have had no problems at all. The brakes are huge and stop those big heave 40's with no problem. You will however need to get a larger bore master cylinder do the the giant calipers. Mopar makes a kit, But I got the Teraflex one and it works great. I highly recommend this axle as an up grade if you are wanting more strength, stopping power and ability to run larger tires without the worry of breaking.
