B&M Performance and Off-Road are proud to introduce our new Precision SportShifter for 2005-2018 Jeep Wrangler TJ and JK models equipped with the NSG370 6-speed manual transmission. The unit features a CNC billet aluminum case with an electric blue anodized finish. The housing contains internal components made from super-tough 4140 Chromoly and reduces the shift-throw by over 35% compared to the sloppy factory shifter. We also addressed the weak factory detent pressure and have significantly increased the detent pressure creating a noticeably stiffer shift feel and preventing the transmission from popping out of gear. The shifter can retain the factory shift stick and knob, but you'll want to check out our ergonomic B&M replacement shift handle part# 46200, which comes with a specially designed isolated assembly and includes a black B&M shift knob. The stick will also accept any 3/8-16 threaded shift knob if you prefer. B&M Performance & Off-Road is the first and only company to address the JK's need for an upgraded manual shifter, and we feel we knocked this one out of the park! The SportShifter is covered by our Lifetime Limited Warranty. Note: May not fit 2005-2006 models with a body lift, transmission drop, etc.

So, my JK 6 speed started popping out of first gear. Not very often, but frequently enough to make it really aggravating. After some research, I wanted to try installing this shifter before chasing transmission gremlins. This shifter is nice, giving very firm positive shifts. The shifts are heavy though, and it’s quite a bit different from stock. In my case, that firmness I believe will solve my problem. I don’t have many miles on it yet, but I’m very happy with it so far.
Tips 1. Having an empty fuel tank helps 2. Purchase the foam insert you will tear the old one. 3. When installing the foam go slow start with shifter a little lowered the stuff a little then lower a little stuff a little then lower a little. Take a deep breath and keep going it will go. 4. Loosen and or remove the plastic bottom under counsel. You will love it is like driving a sports car.
This shifter is amazing. Night and day difference fro the POS Factory shifter. Throws are short and positive lock in each gear. Highly recommend to any one with a manual transmission.
