RockJock Front End Johnny Joint Housing Kit
JK
Features & Product Details
The RockJock Front End Housings have been designed to allow 2” Johnny Joint rod ends, as well as greasable hardware to be installed on stock frontend housings to replace the factory upper control arm bushings. Included in this kit is a Johnny Joint insert for gear case ear and installation tool, along with a 1” thick frame-cut steel upright for the tube side with Johnny Joints already installed. With this kit, you will have to cut off the top of the stock bracket that is on the tube, and install the new Currie piece into the existing bracket base. The Currie Piece will need to be welded to the existing bracket base. This will eliminate the need for any additional welding to be done on the tube which will prevent any potential warping.
Please note that because this kit requires cutting and welding for installation, a trusted professional welder, or fabrication specialist will be needed to complete installation.

After about 30k miles on my jeep and very few trails my stock bushings on my axle were already blown out. I needed to replace them so why not upgrade? These have been great! They don't bind like standard rubber bushings and come with bolts that have a grease zirc on the end (not shown in installed pic). The greasable bolts are slightly bigger diameter than stock bolts so they don't fit in stock upper arms without enlarging the holes. The driver side bushing is a simple press in installation and the passenger side requires welding. I definitely recommend this product especially if you're going to be doing a truss.
