The Currie 44 front axle assembly for Jeep TJ/LJ/XJ vehicles is a direct bolt-in assembly with superior strength in a lightweight package designed for heavy off-road use. The Currie 44 is designed for heavy off-road with up to 37-inch tall tires and features a significantly stronger center casting, axle tubes, forged knuckles, and chromoly axles, the Currie 44 is ready for off-road adventure.

5.38 Gear Ratio and Detroit Truetrac Locker

Currie 44 high-pinion nodular iron center section features 14 lbs of reinforcement over a stock 44 with thicker walls and webbing to deliver superior strength and rigidity.

Large 3 in. diameter x .5 in. wall axle tubes (left) are more than 2.5 times stronger than the stock Dana 30 tubes (right).

Currie heavy duty forged inner knuckles (right) are massively stronger than the stock knuckles (left) and are designed for severe off-road use with up to 37” tall tires.

Genuine Dana Spicer ball joints provide original equipment quality, consistency, and long maintenance-free service life.

Currie Performance 4340 chromoly axles provide superior end-to-end strength over OEM carbon steel axles. Black oxide coating helps protect from surface corrosion for improved durability.

Rock-proof Currie nodular iron front cover protects expensive internals and adds structural support to the housing's face flange.

Black satin powder coat finish adds long-lasting protection against rust and corrosion to keep your Currie 60 looking its best.

Notes

Outer Knuckle Assemblies: The Currie 44 is designed to reuse the complete stock TJ/TJ/XJ outer knuckle assemblies from the ball joints out (knuckles, hubs, disk brake calipers and rotors)

Differential Carriers: The center section is designed to use standard Dana 44 carriers (ARB RD117 or Eaton E-locker 19977-010).

Overall Width: Axle width is 60.250 inches (stock TJ width) between wheel mounting surfaces

Tire Size: Recommended maximum 37-inch tire size due to the inherent limitations of the stock brakes, wheel bearings, and axle u-joints. Tires larger than 31-inches may require vehicle modification for proper clearance.
