Rugged Ridge XHD Modular Snorkel System

The Rugged Ridge XHD Modular Snorkel System is a unit of operation for the air intake system on Off Road vehicles that allows the automobile to draw cold, clean air from outside the engine compartment. It changes the location of the stock air intake system which is vulnerable to water and dirt damage. It reduces dust clogging of the filters by ensuring that the air that is drawn into the engine originates from a higher level than the engine compartment where dust particles are not present. It also prevents hydro-locking by ensuring that the stock air intake system is elevated above the engine above any potential water level that the vehicle may move through.

The Rugged Ridge XHD Modular Snorkel System comes with the basic Pre-filter low mount setting but can also be customized further to take a Ram High mount intake orientation which ensures that the air draw system is lifted higher up the body of the vehicle. It is designed to ensure that during repairs and maintenance, the windshield can be folded and doors removed without any hindrance.

The Rugged Ridge XHD Modular Snorkel System has inbuilt manual drain which is instrumental in draining any water that may find its way inside the air intake relay system. This prevents hydro-locking and guarantees that a vehicle is maintained with its power system in line and cold air drawing orientation on its optimum. This is important when crossing flooded areas or when using the winch which requires increased strength and power from the engine.
