Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Q: What is the Steer Smarts Griffin Steering Attenuator?
A: The Griffin is a patented, high-performance steering attenuator that installs inline on the drag link to absorb harsh road feedback and reduce steering vibration. It significantly improves on-road comfort, especially on JKs with larger tires or upgraded suspension.
Q: Is this a replacement for the steering stabilizer?A: No. The Griffin works in addition to your steering stabilizer, not as a replacement. It targets vibration and harshness at the steering wheel, while a stabilizer controls sudden side-to-side motion of the tie rod.
Q: Does it change how my steering feels off-road?A: Yes, in a positive way. The attenuator helps smooth out the steering response over rough terrain and reduces jarring inputs from the trail. It does not reduce steering effectiveness or precision.
Q: Does it affect steering response or handling?A: It softens sharp impacts and road feedback, but maintains precise control. Most users report smoother steering feel without any noticeable loss in responsiveness.

REVIEWS & CUSTOMER MEDIA
first off quick and fast shipping from Northridge 4x4. second the attenuator was quite bigger than expected. the steering has a different feel than what i am used. my traction control light came on so i emailed steer smarts to find out why. claiming that it could be my steering stabilizer and that my steering wheel had to be dead straight.
