EVO Manufacturing License Plate Relocate/Rotopax Can Mount
JK
Features & Product Details
The EVO MFG Plate Relocate allows the mounting license plate in the center of your spare tire for improved visibility and out of harm’s way. Additionally, it can be used as a Rotopax Can mount.
Most water/fuel can mounts simply float them off the back of the tire, allowing for a great deal of rattling and noise. The EVO MFG License Plate Relocate defeats this annoyance by its unique tensioning system that holds the can tight to the tire when properly installed and therefore eliminating potential rattling.
The EVO MFG Plate Relocate is pre-drilled for a variety of wheel stud configurations, is adjustable to fit most wheel/tire combinations and works with face stud mounted tire carriers. It comes powder coated black to protect against corrosion and clean appearance.
Notes: This product comes pre-drilled for a variety of mounting configurations (4.5 on 5; 5 on 5; 5.5 on 5; and 8 on 6.5). You may need to drill/modify to meet your specific wheel/tire combination needs. Wheel center cap will need to be removed, and wheel center hole diameter must be at least 2 ¼ inches

REVIEWS & CUSTOMER MEDIA
I installed this on my 2015 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited which has stock tires and wheels. Note the the minimum distance from plate-to-plate is 5.5 inches, which does not allow for gas can to be "pulled tight against the tire to apply tension and keep the gas can from rattling" (quote from installation instructions). See photo. I was using a 3 gallon RotoPAX gas can. The can jiggled loose over time (few hours of highway driving), so you need to stuff Styrofoam or a towel or something between your tire and the gas can to get the required tension. IMPORTANT - one other thing I realized is that if you get a flat tire, you need to disassemble the RotoPAX mount and also the long, main bolt of the mount (SAE fasteners). My Jeep tool kit is all metric (no SAE on the Jeep) so I had to add some SAE tools to my kit.

Q: Factory Spare Gatorb85 years ago
Will this product fit through the OEM spare for a 2016 Jeep Wrangler 2DR Willy’s Wheeler wheel. The same wheel used on the Rubicon. I have found, the hard way, that the Smittybilt Hi Lift kit does not fit. Thanks, Shawn
