Motobilt Aluminum Front Half Doors

There is something different about driving a Jeep with half doors. You get the open-air feel and increased visibility that comes from running without full doors, while still maintaining the security and functionality of having doors installed. On the trail, improved sight lines make it easier to place tires, navigate obstacles, and spot terrain around the vehicle.

Many aftermarket half doors are little more than an outer skin attached to a frame. The Motobilt Aluminum Half Doors are built as complete doors with a double-wall construction and a finished interior panel. This design maintains factory-style door thickness while creating additional storage space inside the door through an integrated interior cutout.

Constructed from 11-gauge aluminum, each door is CNC laser cut and CNC formed for consistent fitment and appearance. The aluminum construction reduces weight compared to factory doors, making them easier to remove and reinstall while still providing the strength needed for trail use. Automotive-grade latches and adjustable cable-operated release mechanisms are used on both the interior and exterior handles to provide reliable operation.

The interior structure creates a finished appearance inside the vehicle while delivering the durability expected from a trail-driven Jeep JK build. These doors are metal finished, sanded, inspected, and built in the USA before shipping as raw aluminum.

For builders who want the flexibility of both half doors and enclosed protection from the elements, Motobilt also offers a Front Soft Upper Window Adapter Kit. When installed, the adapter kit allows the use of Bestop Element upper half doors with the Motobilt Front Half Doors, giving you the ability to add removable upper windows while retaining the strength and appearance of the Motobilt door system. This is a popular option for Jeep owners who want open-air driving during warmer months while maintaining the ability to add weather protection when needed.

Because the doors ship in bare aluminum, final bodywork and paint preparation are required before finishing. For the best results, Motobilt recommends having the doors professionally prepared and painted to match your Jeep. Powder coating is not recommended.
