JT/JL Rubicon, 4XE, 392, Mojave
Features & Product Details
Premium Steering Upgrade for Off-Roading
If you're looking to further improve your off-road ready Jeep's performance, pick up the Steer Smarts Yeti XD Tie Rod Assembly today. Designed with proper clearance, this long tie rod assembly works in conjunction with your vehicle's upgraded chassis components for a perfect fit and consistent performance. Moreover, the included 30mm, 1 1/2 ton ball joints are the biggest and strongest available for the JK, so you won't have to worry about holding back on your favorite trails. Steer Smarts Reverse Pin technology prevents the linkage from flopping or rocking when you're testing the limits in your off-road warrior. This reverse pin was built right inside the socket, making for a superior design compared to weaker add-on supports seen on competitor's tie rods.
Heavy-Duty Construction & Installation Info
The Steer Smarts Yeti XD Tie Rod Assembly features impressive construction for superior strength and long-lasting functionality. The ball joints are crafted from cold-headed medium carbon alloy to provide incredible impact toughness for extreme duty usage. Steel on steel bearings provide ultimate fatigue strength, so they'll be able to handle the constant abuse of your Jeep's aggressive build. For even more strength, the rod ends at both the adjuster and draglink feature large 1-1/4" rolled threads which are much more durable than the OE threads. Additionally, the adjuster is made from 1/4" thick wall 4130 DOM steel tubing to ensure the tie rod assembly won't loosen. When it comes to installation, this entire assembly is completely bolt-on and should only take just a few minutes to complete.Adjuster Tube Key Features:
Note: A minimum of 17” wheels is recommended.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Q: How is this different from the standard YETI XD tie rod?
A: The long version is wider overall to match factory Rubicon- and Mojave-width axles. Functionally, it’s the same heavy-duty construction as the standard tie rod, but the length is specific to these wider models.
Q: Is the tie rod adjustable?A: Yes. It features a reverse-threaded adjuster sleeve for on-vehicle toe alignment adjustments, making setup and alignment simple after installation.
Q: Is this a bolt-on upgrade?A: Yes. It bolts directly to the factory knuckles and steering components with no cutting, drilling, or modifications required.
Q: Does it work with the factory steering stabilizer?A: Yes. It includes a bolt-on stabilizer bracket compatible with the factory stabilizer or most aftermarket units. It also works with high-clearance or relocation brackets.

Very well built and came packaged extremely well. Install was pretty easy witht he online instructions. As I just installed these will have to post another review after some time with these on the Jeep.
Was getting incredibly scarry death wobble on a 2019 JLU with 2" Mopar lift. There is no comparison in how well built this is compared to the Stock tie rod. I installed this along with the Steer Smarts Drag Link, and Track Bar. The ride is incredible.
I installed the entire Steer Smarts setup; tie rod, track bar, drag link, and the Falcon 2.2 stabilizer. The steering is night and day. The top bolt of the drag link is the hardest part of the install. It's impossible to get a ratchet or torque wrench in there with the radiator installed.
Added this tie rod and the matching drag link to my set up. Already had the sector shaft brace and track bar. This helped a lot. A lot firmer feel and less road feed back. Awesome!
Bought the entire steering setup from Steersmarts. The drag link and tie rod are extremely beefy and well made. Already had the track bar and sector brace so this just added to the stout components! Love these things
