The factory carrier and tailgate on the Jeep Wrangler JK wasn't intended to carry the larger tires that have become the trend for wheel and tire combinations, so the EVO Manufacturing Pro Series Hinged Gate Tire Carrier was manufactured to allow the Jeep to carry up to a 37-inch tire while still retaining easy access to the rear cargo area.

Unlike other aftermarket tire carriers that are complicated to install and make it difficult to open your tailgate, the EVO MFG Gate Carrier allows all the functionality of the factory tailgate and is still tough enough to handle any stress that comes with adding larger tires. The gate carrier works with the JK by transferring a load to the reinforced body of the Jeep. The easy to install tire mounting position is adjustable upwards and downwards and in and out, so the tire fits properly.
