Very sturdy, you only have to drill one hole on each side, great protection for these expensive shocks.
Glad I installed these came to good use in MOAB.
i was replacing all my shocks with Falcon shocks, so why not protect the rear ones? These are the bolt on set. You could weld them if you want to, with proper prep. Otherwise you just need a sharp metal drilling bit for the small bolt hole. My pictures shows it not quite finished. The 5/8" hole is drilled out for the shock bolt (right side). And the plate is not up tight against the factory mount. The mounts are not labelled right or left, so make sure you have the correct one for each side. i am happy i put these brackets in to protect the rear shocks. Quick delivery from Northridge 4x4 in AB. Another note is for Jeep owners, older JK stock rims WILL NOT fit after the brackets are on , you will need spacers or 4.5" off set rims.
I first installed the shocks without knowing I needed these skids. I purchased them and installed them the next weekend. It was very simple. One hole per skid will need to be drilled but is super simple, can't really mess that up. Took the Jeep to Moab shortly after install and gave them a few good hits during my week stay. They protected my shocks well except for a little scratch on the back of one reservoir, which is why I give the skids 4 stars instead of 5. I wish the back of the reservoir were a bit more protected, I would imagin backing into something could cause damage. I completed Fins and Things, Hells Revenge, Top of the World, Moab Rim and Poison Spider taking all the hard lines with only one little scratch to show.
