ARB Air Locker’s patented design has proven to be an ultra-dependable product, even under the most arduous conditions. It’s strength lies within the simplicity of the design, the minimal the moving parts ensures maximum reliability. All structural components are manufactured from aerospace grades of high alloy steel, and where possible, they have increased the number of differential pinion gears to distribute torque loads evenly. Many recent Air Locker designs also utilize timed gear sets to further improve strength, a design feature that has led to a second US patent on the product.

Note: This unit is drilled for 7/16 ring gear bolts, may need to be drilled out for 1/2" ring gear bolts

Had to drill out holes in locker 4 days ago

That disclaimer about drilling out the axle is there now because of me...I purchased this locker to install on the rear of my 2016 JK non rubicon 44 rear axle. Had to drill out all 10 holes which is no joke! Felt very stressful drilling out 10 perfect holes in a very expensive brand new part. After that things went smoothly but be aware

My locker arrived in perfect condition and was packaged quite well. Install was not easy but no ARB install ever is. Works as it should so far although I haven't had it on the trails yet. I gave it 5 stars because I know that ARB makes quality parts.

We have ARB air lockers front and rear in our 1998 TJ Sport. We absolutely LOVE them! So worth the price. We have never had a problem with them, they definitely help us over some gnarly obstacles, and having the option to have them engaged or not is just the icing on the cake. We can choose to play without them for more of a challenge, or engage them in a sticky situation to help us get through it. If/when we build another rig, these will be our first choice hands down!
