Features & Product Details
Premium Steering Upgrade for Off-Roading
If you're looking to further improve your off-road ready Jeep's performance, pick up the Steer Smarts Yeti XD Tie Rod Assembly today. Designed with proper clearance, this long tie rod assembly works in conjunction with your vehicle's upgraded chassis components for a perfect fit and consistent performance. Moreover, the included 30mm, 1 1/2 ton ball joints are the biggest and strongest available for the JK, so you won't have to worry about holding back on your favorite trails. Steer Smarts Reverse Pin technology prevents the linkage from flopping or rocking when you're testing the limits in your off-road warrior. This reverse pin was built right inside the socket, making for a superior design compared to weaker add-on supports seen on competitor's tie rods.Heavy-Duty Construction & Installation Info
The Steer Smarts Yeti XD Tie Rod Assembly features impressive construction for superior strength and long-lasting functionality. The ball joints are crafted from cold-headed medium carbon alloy to provide incredible impact toughness for extreme duty usage. Steel on steel bearings provide ultimate fatigue strength, so they'll be able to handle the constant abuse of your Jeep's aggressive build. For even more strength, the rod ends at both the adjuster and draglink feature large 1-1/4" rolled threads which are much more durable than the OE threads. Additionally, the adjuster is made from 1-3/4" high-strength 7075 aluminum to ensure the tie rod assembly won't loosen. When it comes to installation, this entire assembly is completely bolt-on and should only take just a few minutes to complete.Adjuster Tube Key Features:
Note: A minimum of 17” wheels is recommended.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Q: Why choose aluminum over steel?
A: The 7075-T6 aluminum used in this tie rod offers exceptional strength while remaining lighter than traditional steel. It’s also highly resistant to bending and fatigue, and it has a unique ability to flex slightly under impact without permanent deformation—ideal for rock crawling and trail abuse.
Q: Is this a direct replacement for the factory tie rod?A: Yes. It is a bolt-on replacement for the factory JK tie rod. No cutting or welding is required. It also works with factory or aftermarket JK knuckles that retain OEM-style tie rod ends.

REVIEWS & CUSTOMER MEDIA

I needed a new tie rod after my stock ends were well worn and after banging the OE steel at SMORR as often as I did it was time to move on to aluminum. This one was the right choice for me. The one ton ball ends get extremely close to the brake's dust shield. Something to consider if you are looking at tie rods that advertise two or two and a half ton. Helps to clean up the slop in your steering too

A: If you are talking about the Fox ATS or TS, you would need to use the Yeti 1 3/4" clamp and Yeti ATS bolt. https://www.northridge4x4.com/part/steering-mounts-brackets/41061002-steer-smarts-yeti-xd-single-post-stabilizer-bracket-1-3-4in - Clamp https://www.northridge4x4.com/part/hardware/79035001-steer-smarts-yeti-xd-fox-ats-stabilizer-bolt - Bolt
