Tuffy Security Deck Enclosure w/ Subwoofer
JL 4dr
Features & Product Details
Organize and secure the gear in the back of your Jeep Wrangler JL. The enclosure lid secures shut using Tuffy's patented security system working in conjunction with the Jeep's locking tailgate and Alpine subwoofer option. The lid easily hinges open and can be held up using an attached support rod. The lid, vertical front and side panels can be easily removed without tools so larger items can be transported when required.
The entire Tuffy Deck Enclosure is constructed using welded 16-gauge steel, heavy duty fasteners, and covered with a durable textured powder coat finish. The Tuffy Deck Enclosure does not rely on the wheel well to create an enclosed space adding an additional level of security. The vehicle power lock switches on the tailgate become disabled after approximately 16 seconds when locking the doors with the key fob so the enclosure remains secured.
The patented design quickly and easily installs to the vehicle floor with standard hand tools in the 4-door model with and without an OEM hardtop. It functions with the OEM compartment cover and the Alpine subwoofer option.
Features:
Note: This enclosure will NOT work with the Wrangler 4xe model. 4-Door models with or without OEM hard or soft top. No drilling required. Mounting brackets are fastened to existing OEM mounting points in the vehicle floor.

REVIEWS & CUSTOMER MEDIA
For the price, it's a good enclosure for when the hardtop is off. It installed fairly easy, although I had to loosen the bolts holding the nylon rollers on so they could spin freely. It's not as robust/strong as some of the other options, but it's also half the price. The weather and trim seals are nice to keep the weather out and to protect the Jeep's surfaces. I was missing one nylock nut, which I luckily had in my spare nut/bolt bin. The prop rod can rattle against the side of the enclosure, so I installed a length of heat shrink tubing on the rod to keep it from rattling. This would be an easy and cheap fix for Tuffy to add. Some of the powder coating did have rub marks due to shipping, but none of the area were rubbed through to bare metal. Overall, it's a decent enclosure and I am satisfied with it based upon cost and features.
