Defend Against Leaks With Lube Locker Is your Dana 44 leaking? Well you better do something about it. LubeLocker’s Dana 44 Differential Gasket eliminates the need for RTV sealant. This gasket ensures a proper seal every time without the mess or having to pry open your differential for future servicing. This works by simply installing the gasket, and then torqueing everything else down to make sure it is secure.

Note: This gasket will not fit 1982-1984 front axles with axle disconnect.

They say these are good for at least 3 cover openings. I've never had to take my diff cover off in over 3 years, but I'm happy no drips or oil weeping anyplace. If I do need to do a trail repair, I'll be happy it's as easy as off and then back on.

Be aware of your bolt sequence and torque settings. No sealant required! Start at lowest torque. Re-check a few weeks later. If you see seepage increase torque 5 # all around. Again, in the proper sequence! Also, one of the plugs drain/fill had to be snugged down once, and another plug twice. No leaks now. All good now on first install. Dry as a bone! Check back in 50,000 miles!
