The best solution to this is by picking up the Genesis Offroad Dual Battery Kit that comes completely pre-wired out of the box with several innovative features that will keep your Jeep running longer. The system is designed with smart isolators that automatically handles all of the battery charging functions, so you won't have to figure out when it's time to switch over from one battery to the other. It works by accepting two group 25 batteries (sold separately) that are connected and charged at the same time. When you turn your engine off, but continue to use your accessories, both batteries begin to drain down. When the main battery reaches a certain voltage level, the smart isolator separates the batteries to ensure you'll have enough power to start your engine, while the alternate battery continues to power the accessories for as long as it will last. If your main battery somehow drains too low to start your truck, the isolators connect both batteries together to act as jumper cables to start your engine without compromise. Before my stock battery went out I bought this kit. The idea is that I would only have to dig out the auxiliary once. This kit fits the JL perfectly. It is amazing how 2 full size batteries take the place of just the one stock main battery. It was fairly easy for me to install with the help of the YouTube video. I am using the Optima red top batteries.

What batteries are required and or compatible to use in this kit for the JL/JT? Are they included in the kit or are they a separate item?

  A: I would use either Odyssey or Optima batteries. They must be the same size, and are not included in the kit.

Will this work with a S-Tech switch pod? Looks doubtful from the pictures. Just planning ahead for battery replacement since I'm still rocking the OEM batteries on my 18 JLU.

Hi Does the Genesis Dual Battery System void the Mopar warranty on the 2020 Jeep Galdiator?
