Synergy Front Track Bar and Sector Shaft Brace
JT/JL
Features & Product Details
Synergy MFG's Jeep JL/JT Front Track Bar and Sector Shaft Brace is designed to better distribute the increased load the frame side track bar bracket encounters on a lifted Jeep and supports the steering box sector shaft from excessive deflection. A track bar bracket or steering box failure is a quick way to end your day. A lift and large tires can easily push these components past their capacity. Reinforce your front frame side track bar bracket and sector shaft with Synergy's Front Track Bar and Sector Shaft Brace.

Installed this 3 months and 4k miles ago, at same time I installed a lift, Synergy tie rod and drag link, and 37" tires on a 2018 JLUR. The installation was easy, straightforward, and the instructions were good. Post install, my steering was excellent and I believe this brace played a big part in it. However, recently I began hearing a creaking sound coming from the pitman arm/steering box. I removed the machined sector shaft brace and found the bronze bushing had turned so the zerk fitting was no longer aligned with the lubrication hole in the bushing. I drilled and tapped a hole on the brace and installed a set screw after realigning the bronze bushing with the zerk fitting. Another option would have been to apply red loctite to the exterior of the bronze bushing and hope this kept the bushing from turning. Overall, I am confident in this brace and the peace of mind it provides in strengthening the steering box mount, track bar, and sector shaft. The photo shows the hole in the bushing not being aligned with the zerk fitting. 4 stars for performance due to the bronze bushing turning, but a solid 5 stars overall.

Q: compatible with Teraflex Runner6 months ago
Is this Synergy brace compatible with the Teraflex ST2 lift with Falcon 3.3 piggyback shocks and Teraflex Alpine adjustable front track bar?

A: It should work, but per Synergy: "If using an aftermarket front track bar, the front springs should be removed and the suspension cycled to full bump to determine the bump stop spacing required to prevent the track bar from contacting the sector shaft nut, or any other interference."

A: Yes it is. From Synergy: "If using PSC Big Bore Steering Box Kit it is necessary to use the Synergy Mfg. Sector Shaft Nut (Part # 8869-10) and PSC Hardware kit (Part # HWK-689-PP)."
