Was a little hesitant on buying these after a set of Rugged Ridge tail light guards finish for my JKU didn't hold up but I was really impressed with the quality of these. They will not work on a Rubicon with the Xtreme Recon package b/c those have a different taillight but I swapped taillights with my wife's JL so all was good. While I was at it I painted the taillight to match the Jeep and painted the guards my accent color.

How does it attach to the JL lights? With a sticky tape or via some other means?

  A: They fit over the tail light. These are 2 piece, where the rear piece attaches to the back of the tail light, and the front piece then attaches with screws to the rear piece.
