Frame mounted takes the weight off your JL's body giving you the option to add accessories plus extends the life of your tailgate. 100% bolt-on installation makes removing your factory bumper and upgrading to a Patriot Series rear bumper doable by any level installer.

The secret to their tire carrier's success is their in house designed and constructed serviceable hub assembly. Instead of a single bearing we use dual tapered bearings for smooth and consistently reliable operation. RH4x4's dual-stage latch operates just like a car door with a safety catch to prevent accidental swing gate opening. Operation is effortless.

2 TJ, 1 JL family
Upgraded to 35" tires and needed to go with an upgraded tire carrier to accomodate them. Already had a RH payriot bumper and was majorly impressed. Went with this and was not let down. RH is 2 for 2. Installed it myself, helps to have a friend or platform jack due to weight. Fit and finish is top rate. All bolt holes lines up perfect, Looks real nice and allows for even larger tires no prob. Nothing chinsy on it, all well-built and very solid.

The install does take a bit longer than you would think but if you are not in a rush and things go your way it can be done in a day in the garage. The spare is higher than stock so the third brake light is as well. Looks good and strong with everything fitting precisely for me with a couple trips to the hardware store for the inevitable customized fit with each individual and anything out of the ordinary. Customer support is beyond helpful and courteous. Definitely recommend

It works well. Had it installed on Rubicon JLU and it would crush rocks before taking damage. Thick... There is some maintenance requirements with adjusting swing gate, greasing the hinge, etc. but nothing unreasonable. I installed on my own but would recommend having assistance with the lifting and adjustments.
