Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Q: Does this kit require drilling or modification?
A: No drilling is needed for the axle-side install. This bottom-mount version is engineered to bolt directly to the steering arm of standard-width PR60 or UD60 axles with a compatible taper.
Q: Can I use this draglink with my factory Jeep axle?A: No. This version is not compatible with factory Jeep JL or JT front axles. It is only intended for use with standard-width aftermarket PR60 or UD60 axles. For factory axles, Steer Smarts offers other YETI XD draglink versions.
Q: What is the difference between this bottom-mount draglink and Steer Smarts’ top-mount version?A: The bottom-mount draglink attaches beneath the steering arm, closely matching OEM-style geometry, while the top-mount version relocates the draglink to the top side of the knuckle to improve steering angles and reduce bump steer on lifted Jeeps. This bottom-mount version is ideal for aftermarket axles with steering arms specifically designed for a bottom-mount taper.
