The AEV Pintler Wheel Onyx Black 17x8.5" 5x5 combines timeless styling with the innovative features and off-road strength that you have come to expect from AEV. However, this is not just another one-size-fits-all aftermarket Jeep wheel. AEV designed this wheel specifically for the Jeep Wrangler JL because despite sharing the same DNA as the Jeep Wrangler JK, many aspects of the latest generation Wrangler are quite different, so simply re-purposing a JK wheel was not the best solution. This wheel is specifically designed for the JL/JT model to a deliver a safety tested off-road capable wheel with greater clearance.

Unique +25mm Offset

The AEV Pintler Wheel Onyx Black 17x8.5" 5x5 has a unique offset of +25mm. This works perfectly with the various OE fender flare variants and provides the optimal balance of tire clearance, scrub radius and handling. Additionally, this wheel features a larger center cap bore (62.77mm) for compatibility with the JL/JT Wrangler’s OE backup camera and resized pockets for the larger factory lug nuts. With this new wheels on your Wrangler, you will happy to know that you are not losing any of the existing safety technology. These wheels are compatible with the OE backup camera as well as the tire pressure monitor system (TPMS).

Important Note: Due to the design of the wheel barrel/drop well on the Pintler combined with our high offset and the JL/JT’s large brakes, clearance for stick-on weights inside the wheel is VERY tight. Standard thin .25oz stick-on weights clear the brake package. Larger .5oz and 1oz weights do not.

CENTER CAPS: This wheel has a center cap OD of 62.7mm, which is larger than the previously used 55.5mm OD center caps.

POWDER COATING WARNING: As a general safety precaution, AEV does not recommend powder coating aluminum wheels. The heat range and duration of the powder coating process may overlap the heat treating and aging of cast or forged aluminum wheels. For this reason, powder coated wheels will not be covered under AEV’s lifetime structural warranty. All repairs and/or color changes should utilize automotive type liquid paint.
